Rick ShanebrookRick Shanebrook - Kickboxing, Fight Training

Richard Shanebrook has over 36 years experience in martial arts. In 1971 he began his martial arts journey starting his first years under direction of ten Kenpo Karate Champions. In 1978 he received his first degree black belt under Dave Brock, shortly after that he opened his first school. The next few years were all about fighting. As luck would have it, he wasn’t half bad at competing. In 1980 he won the international title and Dave Torres Grand Championship Title in the same year. In 1982 he was awarded his second degree black belt from grandmaster Ed Parker, the tenth degree founder of Kenpo Karate. IcemanIn 1984 he went to Backtracker Unlimited school and became a bodyguard for the next several years. In 1985 he started taking kickboxing instruction from Colorado lightweight Champion Sensi Jeremy Dunlap. At that same time he trained along side World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Thompson. In 1990 he stopped Body guarding and began teaching kickboxing full time. In 1992 he had the best stroke of luck, two time World Kickboxing Champion John “Iceman” Adams walked into his kickboxing school in Huntington Beach. Right away we became great friends, and still train to this day. At that time, Richard then began his instruction towards becoming certified in Muay Thai. “John Adams is quite simply one of the finest kick boxers/instructors I’ve ever met. His fight record speaks for itself (72-11-49k.o.s) To become one of the best; you have to learn from the best.” In 2001 he moved to Temecula and started teaching Muay Thai.

“This is a gym were everyone is welcome. Our goal is to provide a safe and fun place to enjoy the many benefits of Muay Thai. Lets all have a great year!”
-Rick
